Our dry, desolate, and most difficult times always come right before a breakthrough. Just like the Israelites, we must make it through the wilderness in order to enter into our promised land. Two things occur in the wilderness when we are weak, weary, and not sure if we can go on. We either give up, or we persevere and receive the promises of God. The wilderness is a place of transition and preparation where strongholds of fear and unbelief are uprooted and true dependence on God is developed. This is the time to remain steadfast, stay the course, and finish the race.
